For me, it’s all about being accountable to myself. I have a program called Rescue Time which tracks how much time I spend on my computer, and it shows how much time I spent on each website/app. Whenever I find myself procrastinating, I open up this program and check how much time I spent on all the things I do when I procrastinate. I then realize how much time I wasted, and I feel bad. So I get back to work. If I had Rescue Time, I would track everything I do in a day (even when I’m not procrastinating). Reducing my time on all the time-wasting websites is also very helpful. This way, I am holding myself accountable to my own goals , and I feel better when I accomplish them..
